Set Up Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) on the OneMoneyWay Mobile App
Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of security to your account. After setup, you’ll need a 6-digit code from an authentication app (like Google Authenticator) every time you log in.
Step 1: Log In to Your Account
- Download the OneMoneyWay mobile app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
- Open the app.
- Enter your Username and Password.
- Tap Login.
Step 2: Set Up 2FA
After logging in, you’ll see the Identity Verification screen. Tap Two-Factor Authentication.
You will be shown both a QR Code and a secret Recovery Key. You can set up 2FA using either method below:
🔐 Important: Save your Recovery Key (shown on the screen) in a secure place. You’ll need it if you ever lose access to your phone or authentication app.
Option 1: Scan the QR Code (Requires a Second Device)
If you have a second device (like a tablet or another phone), you can scan the QR code shown on your primary phone (where the OneMoneyWay app is installed).
- On your second device, open an authentication app (Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, or Authy).
- Choose the option to add a new account using a QR Code.
- Point your second device’s camera at the QR code displayed on the OneMoneyWay mobile app (on your primary phone).
- Your OneMoneyWay account will be added to the app, which will begin generating a 6-digit code.
Option 2: Use the Setup Key (Manual Entry)
If you don’t have a second device to scan the QR code, or you’ve lost access to your previous phone or authentication app, you can manually enter the Recovery Key instead.
- On your primary phone, tap the Recovery Key to copy it.
- Open your authentication app (Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, or Authy).
- In your authentication app, choose the option to add a new account using a Setup Key (manual entry).
- Name the account “OneMoneyWay” and paste the copied key, then save.
- Your OneMoneyWay account will be added to the app, which will begin generating a 6-digit code.
Step 3: Enter the 6-Digit Code
- In your authentication app, find the 6-digit code for OneMoneyWay.
- Enter the code in the Enter Code box in the OneMoneyWay mobile app.
- Tap Verify.
✅ 2FA is now enabled!
Optional: Enable Biometric Login
If your device supports biometrics (Face ID or fingerprint), you can enable it for faster login.
- Open the OneMoneyWay mobile app.
- Tap the ☰ icon in the top-left corner to open the main menu.
- Go to Settings > Biometric.
- Toggle the switch to enable biometric login.
Once enabled, you can log in using your fingerprint or face scan instead of entering a 2FA code.
How to Log In Going Forward
When logging in, after entering your username and password, you’ll be asked to verify your identity. You can use either of the following methods to verify your login. Choose whichever is more convenient:
Option 1: Use an Authentication App
- Open your authentication app (e.g., Google Authenticator).
- Find the 6-digit code for OneMoneyWay.
- Enter the code in the OneMoneyWay mobile app.
- Tap Verify.
Option 2: Use Biometric Verification
- Open the OneMoneyWay mobile app.
- When prompted, use your fingerprint or face scan to log in instantly.
- No 2FA code is needed when using biometrics.
